Timmy was 18 years old now, had decided to go by Tim, and he was heading off to college; and so was his futon. He still had the same Lunar mattress from when he was 8, and it was in pretty decent shape, but it had a few dips and valleys from constant sitting and sleeping. Tim’s parents decided that he needed and deserved a new mattress that was a little thicker and more supportive since he was much bigger now, and would need a good nights sleep to do well up at school. A few days after Tim got to school, his brand new Venus futon mattress arrived with a new cover too, and Tim was sleeping better than ever.
College was a fun time for Tim. He played intramural sports, made a ton of friends, and partied a lot, but he always kept up with his studies. His futon took a little abuse during the college years. He painted it a few times, his roommate ripped his favorite cover, and he broke another slat. He ordered a new cover online at FutonPlanet.com and emailed them about the broken slat. The 5 year warranty was expired, but it was less than 15 dollars for him to get a new one and it showed up a few days later. During his Junior year he met his future wife, Jill. They were both English majors, and upon graduation, they moved into a little apartment together nearby campus. Tim had decided to go to law school and Jill to veterinary school, so they were both working to get by and pay the rent. For the time being, Tim and Jill were both sleeping on his trusty futon. Much to Tim’s dismay, Jill had insisted on getting a flowery cover and she had also made him sand the fame back to the unfinished wood.
