August Lotz and Futon Planet just made an agreement in May 2007 to do business together. Futon Planet will begin to carry August Lotz futons… “and you should see them added to the site this June,” says Gabe LeBlanc of Futon Planet. “We are really excited about carrying their products and think our customers will really benefit from the August Lotz futon frame selection.”
August Lotz has been around since the late 1800’s, but has recently gone under new ownership. Although, futons did not really become a fad in the US until the late 1900’s, August Lotz has pledged to apply the kind of quality craftmanship they have been recognized for to their futon frames.
“Because our relationship is new,” continues LeBlanc, ”there might be a couple extra days of shipping time added to the average futon shipping, but otherwise customers can expect their August Lotz futon frames in a timely manner. Like most of our venders, once we add their products to our website, it is like turning on a faucet. August Lotz should see an immediate result.”
August Lotz sports many new and unusual styles to the futon industry. Their most unique futon styles include the Manhattan and –both from their Metro Collection. The Boston futon frame from their Signature Collection is also unique to the futon industry. Finally, their Rocky Mountain and the Lodge Pole are two very unique futon frames that look like log cabin futon furniture. All these futon frames come with an August Lotz pledge to quality and workmanship.

Rima added, “We’re always looking for ways to stay several steps ahead of the competition. Expanding our product line to provide more selection to our customers, is one way we achieve that.”
