Futon Frame Design Award for April

The Millennium futon frame by Futon Place wins our design award for April 2007 for its unique two-tone look and over-engineering.  The unlikely combination of Beechwood and Walnut really showed a level of design foresight and creativity.  The mid section of the Millennium, however, is not available in walnut throughout all of the frame’s sizes (an issue that we hope will one day be resolved), but the frame still looks smart with a beechwood finish, nonetheless.

Futon Place is well recognized for their attention to quality and reinforcements and the Millennium futon frame is no exception.  With 3 times the striker plates than the average manufacturer and multiple reinforcements along the end caps, slats, arms and cross members, we believe the Millennium is a piece of furniture that one buys with the intentions of hanging onto.  This is a real piece of furniture and nowhere near the average middle-to-low grade construction that many consumers end up with.
